From Legacy to Luggage: Sweet Wednesday Launches New Luxury Line

Local entrepreneur blends love, meaning, and elevated design in debut collection 

Sweet Wednesday, a new luxury luggage brand founded by local entrepreneur Angela Webb, has officially launched its debut product line and e-commerce website. The launch includes the brand’s first product line, the Sweet Escape Series, a collection of aluminum hard-shell luggage. 

The Sweet Escape Series blends premium materials with meaningful design, with each piece inspired by Webb’s parents, Troy and Evelyn. Their story is reflected in subtle details throughout the collection, from the stitching to the finishes - turning each bag into more than a travel item. 

“Sweet Wednesday was built to honor their story and to remind people that travel isn’t just about the destination, it’s about what we carry with us, both physically and emotionally,” said Webb. “I’m proud to bring this vision to life and grateful for the support that helped me take the first steps.” 

Sweet Wednesday has received support from CMURC’s Lift ME program, which offers resources and mentorship to underserved entrepreneurs, and recently gained momentum after Webb placed in the Bet on BLK pitch competition.
