MY “AHA” MOMENT
Our aha moment was a series of steps, starting with an article we read about how old our produce is by the time it gets to us. We then looked into what people were doing to solve this problem. After finding numerous businesses throughout the U.S., each incorporating innovative technologies, we set out to combine these to revolutionize the urban agriculture movement in Michigan.
THE BIG IDEA
We are combining year-round greenhouses with aquaponics: a sustainable, healthy growing technique to grow fresh produce anywhere and everywhere. These greenhouses will be spread throughout Michigan and, later, the U.S. to create hubs of local, fresh, organic food that’s available to everyone.

Our produce is “live”, meaning that the lettuce you receive is still attached to the roots, which allows it to last weeks, instead of days, in your fridge.

The funds raised will go towards marketing, patent application, and aesthetics to help our business raise the capital required to build our first full-scale system.
