BAY CITY, Mich. - CMU Research Corporation has officially opened their second location in Bay City with a ribbon cutting Thursday.
The corporation is a nonprofit business incubator focused on advancing economic development in the community.
Local, regional and statewide partners assist to accelerate the success of entrepreneurs, growing businesses and jobs.
The co-working concept has become a worldwide phenomenon.
"It really allows for the intellectual capital to be integrated in with entrepreneurs to help with different economics as it relates to business practices and things that entrepreneurs are doing so really trying to leverage the university and their outreach for economic development,” said Erin Strang, President and CEO of the CMU Research Corporation.
Nearly two dozen businesses throughout the Great Lakes Bay Region were able to try the co-work space for free Thursday, giving them a place to do business and make connections to help grow their business.
