I come from a very large extended family. We have large weddings and open houses. We seem to be celebrating something all the time. During all of these events we use Large Beverage containers like the Igloo, Rubbermaid, Gatorade, Coleman Coolers, and always use the large Coffee urns. There was always a mess on the floor under the spigots of these containers. One particular open house I helped host, we cut open a plastic two-liter soft drink bottle and hook it on the dripping spigot. It looks so bad and I complained to my Dad, "Look at this, you would think there would be something out there that looked nice to take care of this problem." My Dad told me, well you design something!" So I began formulating a way that would best solve the problem presented by splattering spigots, when suddenly, unexpectedly, my father passed away. "I just stopped", I was heartbroken. And then another loss: I had been a CAD operator for a large engineering firm for over a decade when my job was eliminated. I found peace and thought, "My dad was right and I'm going to do what he wanted me to do!" So I did it!
THE BIG IDEA:
DripzN is the molded plastic drip catcher by TBOVEEPRODUCTS LLC. The DripzN is attractive, durable, an easily hangs from portable beverage dispensers to catch those inevitable drips between servings. It has a unique configuration of the opening, so it securely attaches around the spigot/nozzle of almost all beverage containers.
WHY THIS IDEA IS BETTER THAN THE REST:
My design for the DripzN was patented in 2011. From there, I had a prototype made, and now have an actual mold for production.
THE SKY'S THE LIMIT:
Funds raised for the exchange will go towards inventory, molds, and a website.
