Mike Costa has been with The Dow Chemical Company since 1980. He spent 20
years in the Finance organization in various site, area, and corporate roles.
Mike was involved in Dow's World Wide SAP implementation and managed the
design, development and implementation of the company's global reporting
capability. Additionally, Mike managed the world wide process and technology
implementation for the Union Carbide merger. Most recently, Mike was a senior
director in Information Systems responsible for Architecture, Strategy, and
Applications. Mike is currently Dow's Corporate Director for Six Sigma and
Corporate Work Processes.
Mike has a B.S.B.A. degree from University
of Dayton and an MBA from Miami of Ohio. He is a certified DFSS Green Belt,
and Six Sigma Champion. He serves on the boards of CIDX, Midland Community
Cancer Services, Central Michigan University Research Corporation, and the
Northern Michigan Region of the National Ski Patrol.
D. Michael Fields

D. Michael Fields joined Central Michigan University in
April 2006. Before accepting the CBA dean’s position at CMU, he had spent
the previous 16 years in the College of Business Administration at Missouri
State University, serving 10 years as the MBA director and seven and one
half years as associate dean.
The initial primary goal for which Mike took
responsibility for as dean of CMU-CBA was to ensure that the College
retained full accreditation with AACSB, the preeminent accrediting body for
Colleges of Business in the world. That goal was achieved in the April
2007. Mike played an instrumental role working with faculty to ensure the
College of Business Administration maintained its full AACSB accreditation.
Dr. Fields was a faculty member in the Marketing
Department at Missouri State University and an Assistant Professor of
Marketing at the University of North Carolina - Charlotte. Mike obtained his
Ph.D from the University of Arkansas. He has vast work experience in sales,
buying, management and operations for Goldsmith’s Department Store, Kroger
Company, Campbell Taggart and in a family supermarket operation.
Janine Janosky

Janine E. Janosky is the Vice Provost for Research at Central Michigan
University where she is responsible for the leadership of the Office of
Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP). Through this position, she
provides the management of research compliance, research infrastructure,
and oversight of all internal grant programs and external awards. She
holds an academic appointment at Central Michigan University as a
Professor of Mathematics. Janine has had decades long success in
securing external grant funding and directing research programs, in
addition to being an author on more than 160 peer-reviewed publications
in biomedical journals
Prior to joining Central Michigan University,
Janine served as the Executive Director of the Center for Primary Care
Community-Based Research and on the faculty member in the Department
of Family Medicine and Clinical Epidemiology in the School of Medicine
at the University of Pittsburgh from 1986-2007. She holds a Doctorate
from the University of Pittsburgh, conferred in 1986, a Masters from
Marshall University, and a Bachelors from Duquesne University.
Roger Kesseler

Roger Kesseler was appointed to the
Central Michigan University Board of Trustees by Governor John Engler on
January 3, 1991. He joined The Dow Chemical Co. in 1959 and moved to Freeport,
Texas, in 1971 as chief cost accountant. He was named controller of Dow's
Texas Division in 1972 and in 1975 was given added responsibility for employee
relations. Kesseler returned to Midland in 1979 and was named controller of
the company in 1981 and additionally was named vice president in 1984.
Kesseler retired from Dow in 1997. He also serves as a member of the CMU
Development Board of Directors which he chaired in 1989-90.
Kesseler graduated from CMU in 1958 and
received an honorary doctorate degree from CMU in December 1989. In 1996 he
received CMU's first Distinguished Service Award.

Kathleen Wilbur

Kathy Wilbur is the Vice President for Government
Relations and Public Affairs at Central Michigan University where she is
responsible for representing the university to the Michigan Legislature and
state departments, commissions and the executive branch of state
government. The Director of Federal Programs, who interacts with the United
States Congress and the federal government, is also located in her office.
CMU Public Broadcasting is also part of the division of government
relations.
Prior to joining CMU, Kathy worked in the Michigan
Legislature and in the executive branch. Kathy is the only woman to direct
three different state departments – the Department of Licensing and
Regulation, the Department of Commerce and the Department of Consumer and
Industry Services.
She also served as Chief of Staff to then Senator
William Sederburg in the Michigan State Senate. Kathy was an elected member
of the Michigan State University Board of Trustees for six years.
